Winner- 2014 PCBC Grand Award for Best Mixed-use Project

The 1266 9th Ave is located in the heart of the Inner Sunset District directly adjacent to Golden Gate Park and the nearby UCSF Parnassus Heights Campus. Situated in the hottest retail zone of the Inner Sunset at the 9th and Irving intersection, the area enjoys a steady flow of residents from the neighborhood, students from UCSF and the surrounding universities, and visitors headed to and from popular Golden Gate Park. The area is known for its hip restaurants, overflowing cafes, and community serving retail. The neighborhood also contains several excellent primary and high schools, and young children are as omnipresent as UCSF grad students.

1266 Ninth was awarded Best Mixed Use Project of the Year at the Pacific Coast Builder’s Conference Gold Nugget Awards. The judges called the project “visually appealing and well implemented,” and praised its clean design.

“This small mixed use project was an example with great transferability to many markets,” the judges wrote. “The small site with a neighborhood commercial flavor provides an opportunity to add some residential units geared to urban professionals looking for transportation links, sustainability and clean attractive design.”

1266 9th Ave includes 15 luxury upper floor apartments and 5,650 square feet of ground retail space, and subterranean parking.
